0. Age and App Store rating

Asteroid is intended for users who meet the minimum age shown for Asteroid on the App Store (or equivalent storefront) in their country or region. Apple assigns store ratings that can vary by territory—you will only see the rating that applies where you obtain the app. As of our last update, Apple lists Asteroid as rated 16+ in most countries and regions, and 15+ in Australia, Brazil, and the Republic of Korea. Ratings may change; if you do not meet the minimum age for your region, you may not use the service.

1. User Responsibility for Uploads

By using Asteroid, you agree that you are solely responsible for any content that you upload to the platform. We do not take responsibility for the uploaded content, and it is your responsibility to ensure that your uploads comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You must not upload any content that violates intellectual property rights, contains offensive material, or breaches any applicable laws.

2. Moderation and Content Monitoring

Asteroid includes user-generated content such as music uploads, profile information, comments, chat messages, sticky notes, polls, and similar features. While you remain responsible for what you post, we operate moderation and safety systems to help keep the community usable and lawful. We may use a combination of automated tools (for example, keyword or metadata checks, including marking some material as "explicit" for display purposes) and human review. We do not guarantee that all content is reviewed before it appears, and we do not warrant that objectionable material will never be visible.

If content is flagged by our systems, reported by users, or identified by moderators, we may remove or restrict it, limit how it is shown, disable features, or take action on the associated account—including warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans for serious or repeated violations. We may also preserve and disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is required by law or necessary to protect users or the service.

Community standards; prohibited and sensitive content

You agree not to upload, stream, post, or otherwise make available any content that:

• Sexual content: No pornography, graphic depictions of sexual acts, sexual solicitation, fetish content aimed primarily at sexual gratification, or content that sexualizes minors. Non-consensual intimate imagery (including "revenge porn"), deepfakes of a sexual nature without consent, and sexual exploitation are strictly prohibited.
• Violence and self-harm: No content that depicts, promotes, or instructs extreme violence, torture, terrorism, or self-harm; no glorification of mass violence or credible threats of harm toward people or places.
• Hate, harassment, and abuse: No hate speech directed at protected characteristics, coordinated harassment, bullying, stalking, or doxxing. Slurs and dehumanizing language used to attack people or groups are not allowed.
• Child safety: Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any sexual content involving minors. Such content will be removed and reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.
• Illegal activity and dangerous goods: No content that violates applicable law, including fraud, drugs or weapons trafficking, human trafficking, or instructions to commit crimes.
• IP and authenticity: No content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights; no impersonation intended to deceive; no malware or deceptive links.
• Spam and manipulation: No bulk unsolicited messages, fake engagement, or attempts to evade enforcement.

Audio, titles, artist names, album names, artwork, profile fields, and text in social features must comply with these standards. Strong profanity or slurs may be restricted, filtered, labeled (for example with an "E" explicit indicator), or removed even when not illegal, to keep the experience appropriate for a general audience.

Reporting, blocking, and appeals

Where the product provides them, you should use in-app reporting and blocking tools for problematic users or content. You may also contact us at asteroidcontactbussiness@gmail.com with enough detail for us to investigate. If you believe enforcement was applied in error, you may appeal by emailing the same address with your account identifier and a clear description of the issue. We are not obligated to reinstate content or accounts, and we may update these rules as the service evolves.

3. Uploading Terms

When uploading any content (including videos, images, audio files, etc.) to Asteroid, you agree:

• To grant Asteroid a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your uploaded content as part of the service.
• Not to upload content that infringes the rights of others or violates our content guidelines.
• Not to upload harmful or malicious software, including viruses or malware, that can disrupt the platform or harm users.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. Any unauthorized use of your account is your responsibility. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately so we can assist with securing it.

5. Hacking and Unauthorized Access

You agree not to engage in any activity that attempts to hack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform, other users' accounts, or any other system connected to Asteroid. This includes, but is not limited to, activities such as:

• Attempting to bypass security measures.
• Engaging in phishing, spamming, or any form of fraud.
• Using automated systems to scrape or harvest data.

Violations of this policy may result in immediate termination of your account and potential legal action.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability 

Asteroid is not responsible for the content that users upload, and we make no warranties regarding the accuracy or legality of the content. We also do not guarantee the availability, security, or reliability of the platform. Under no circumstances will Asteroid be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform, including issues related to uploaded content, account access, or third-party interactions.

 

7. Privacy and Data Collection

Asteroid does not collect personal information (e.g. Passwords, Age, Gender), However we collect Account info such as:

·         Full name

·         Email

·         Profile Picture

·         IP address

Asteroid uses some of your Account info to improve the site, security, and more.

Asteroid does not use your Account info for purposes that are not given permission.

We do not show your Account details outside Asteroid, we use your account info in asteroid for profiles and more. Asteroid uses third-party services like Firebase and Google analytics to track our traffic but we do not share your personal info anywhere.

8. Account Termination

By using our platform, you agree to these following rules that if you break them, you might get suspended, a strike, or even a permanent ban

      Account rules

·         Detected that your account is younger than the minimum age required (13+)

·         Google related or law issues

Uploading Rules

• Only upload content you own or have permission to use.
• Do not upload copyrighted music, videos, or images without rights.
• Do not upload offensive, harmful, or illegal content.
• No uploading of viruses, malware, or harmful scripts.

 

Account Rules:

  Do not use other people’s accounts.

  No creating fake, impersonation, or duplicate accounts.

  Report any suspicious activity or account issues immediately.

 

 

Prohibited Actions:

·         No hacking, exploiting, or attempting to access restricted areas of the site.

·         No spamming or sending mass messages.

·         No scraping, harvesting, or stealing other users' content.

·         No bypassing moderation or security systems.

       Content Moderation:

• Our moderators actively review content uploaded by users.
• Any content breaking these rules may be removed without notice.
• Repeated or serious rule-breaking may lead to account suspension or a permanent ban.

General Use:

• Be respectful to other users on the platform.
• No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination.
• Always follow your country’s laws and regulations while using Asteroid.

 

Reporting:

• If you see any harmful or rule-breaking content, report it immediately to our moderators through the available reporting tools or contact form.
